Monday
  • Thursday, 7:00am

As a Certified Medical Assistant in this role, you won't be in a traditional clinic setting—you'll support an onsite wellness clinic. This is a dynamic, hands-on, and versatile role. You'll work alongside providers to deliver accessible, efficient care while building meaningful patient interactions in nontraditional settings. Why Join Novant Health Employer Solutions?

Improve access to care for local employees What You'll Do Support an onsite wellness clinic embedded within an employer location Assist with episodic and primary care Perform point-of-care testing (i.e., phlebotomy, specimen collections, drug screens, physicals, etc.) Prepare patients, take vital signs, and manage intake workflows Assist with clinical documentation and EMR updates
What We're Looking For Education:
High School Diploma or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including:
  • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA)
  • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
  • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA).
If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement.
Experience:
Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
Additional skills required:
Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing. Why Choose Novant?
