AM Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our busy Gastroenterology clinic in Thomasville, NC. This role involves supporting multiple providers in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality patient care.Key Responsibilities:
Room patients and prepare them for provider visits Obtain and document vital signs Perform medication reconciliation Assist with procedure preparation Administer injections as directed Collect rectal swab specimens Maintain accurate and timely patient records Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for usePatient Volume:
Support rotating providers Assist with up to 28 patients per dayAdditional Information:
No blood draws required (on-site lab handles all phlebotomy)Compensation:
$18- $23 per hour (based on experience)
Qualifications:
Active Medical Assistant certification required through one of the following: National Healthcare Association (NHA) American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) American Medical Technologists (AMT) Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and patient care skills Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting #PhaxisPeggy Pay:
