Job Description

Job Summary:
Experienced Pathology Assistant with expertise in surgical pathology and autopsy pathology within hospital clinical laboratory settings. Skilled in performing gross examination, dissection, and macroscopic description of complex surgical specimens and small biopsies, preparing tissues for histological processing, sectioning surgical pathology specimens, and ensuring accurate specimen accessioning, fixation, labeling, and handling. Proficient in autopsy procedures including evisceration, tissue sampling for microscopic examination, post-mortem examinations, preparation of tissue samples, and frozen section processing. Experienced in reviewing patient clinical information, laboratory results, imaging studies, and supporting tumor triage activities to facilitate accurate pathological diagnosis. Demonstrates strong knowledge of specimen processing, quality assurance, laboratory safety, regulatory compliance, and effective collaboration with pathologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
