Weeks Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | 40 Hours/Week Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Pathologists' Assistant to support a hospital-based Anatomic Pathology department. The ideal candidate will have experience performing gross examinations, specimen dissection, tissue sampling, surgical pathology procedures, and autopsy support. Candidates must have previous travel experience and ASCP-PA certification. Responsibilities Perform gross examination and dissection of large, complex surgical specimens Perform gross examination and dissection of small biopsy specimens Prepare tissue samples for histological processing Section surgical pathology specimens and perform tissue sampling for microscopic examination Provide macroscopic descriptions of gross anatomic findings Handle specimen receipt, labeling, fixation, and processing Review patient clinical information including imaging, laboratory results, and medical history Assist with tumor triage and pathology workflow management Participate in adult and fetal autopsy procedures, including evisceration Maintain accurate documentation within Epic and laboratory information systems Follow laboratory quality, safety, and regulatory standards Required Qualifications ASCP Certified Pathologists' Assistant (PA) Minimum 3 years of Pathologists' Assistant experience Previous travel assignment experience required Experience in hospital clinical laboratory and surgical pathology settings Experience with gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens Experience preparing tissues for histological processing Experience with specimen handling, fixation, receipt, and labeling Experience with tissue sampling for microscopic examination Experience reviewing patient clinical information and pathology data Experience with adult and fetal autopsies Epic experience preferred BI02
Pay:
