Through our Medical Assistant Apprentice program, you will be hired to work in Essentia Health's family practice at our Bismarck Gateway location in Bismarck ND. We will pay for your education and certification as a Medical Assistant, putting your through a qualifying program with a partnering organization. This program comes with a 2-year work commitment upon course completion.Education Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified, or able to obtain within 3 months. Offered upon hire. Our Certified Medical Assistant On-the-Job Training Program offers motivated candidates the opportunity to build the skills, confidence, and hands-on experience needed to succeed in a dynamic clinical setting. This cohort-based training program, beginning on June 29th, 2026, brings participants together as a group to create a strong learning community. You'll train alongside peers who share your goals, gaining valuable knowledge, real-world experience, and the support needed to grow into a successful Certified Medical Assistant. Flat Rate of $19.00 during the apprenticeship. Upon graduation of the apprentice program, wage will increase to $21.72 hourly. Full Time position 40 Hours per week. Enrollment in the MedCerts Program, with a 14 week completion goal. Must be registered as a Medication Assistant III through the North Dakota Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire/transfer.
