Job Description
JOB FUNCTIONS OF LPN/CMA/MA ROLE
- Rooms patients and obtains a chief complaint and history. Documents patient information in the Electronic Health Record.
- Prepares patients for procedures and assists during the procedure.
- Administers treatments and medications at the direction of the physician.
- Orders diagnostic tests at the hospital and obtains prior authorizations.
- Conducts lab testing and prepares specimens sent to outside lab.
- Tracks test results and follow-up with the patients at the direction of the physician.
- Triage patient calls to determine patient needs and reporting patient condition to physician and advising protocols.
- Prepare exam rooms and equipment to facilitate treatment and examination of patients by setting up instruments/equipment and stocking supplies.
- Cleans and sterilizes equipment per protocol.
- Works as a float in office, performing both front and back-office duties.
- Complies with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA compliance policies while performing all duties.
- All other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
- Must have a License in Practical Nursing (LPN) in the state of Nebraska, or Certified in Medical Assisting (CMA) from an accredited program or graduated from an Accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- Must have a BLS (Basic Life Support) certificate.
- Must have Medication Aide License if CMA/MA.
- Previous experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred.
- One year or more experience in a medical office.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Intermittent and/or frequent physical activity including walking, sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
HOURS:
- Our office is open for office visits Monday through Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm.
Pay:
$21.00-25.00 per hour (Wage may vary per education and experience) This candidate will be expected to adhere to Mark Quinlan, M.D., PC Medical Clinic's policies and procedures, rules and regulations, and other State and Federal regulatory requirements.Schedule:
