Job Description

Clinical Support Specialist (Medical Assistant) About Our Practice At New England Rheumatology and Osteoporosis, we provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a warm and collaborative private practice environment. Unlike large, fast-paced hospital systems, our small team focuses on building long-term relationships with our patients and maintaining a healthy work-life balance for our staff. We are seeking a dedicated and personable Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to join our growing clinical family.
Key Responsibilities Patient Communication:
Manage patient triage calls, relay lab results as needed, and provide clear instruction on follow-up care plans. Make new or return to office appointments as needed.
Clinical Administrative Duties:
Coordinate lab orders, update Electronic Health Records (EHR), and assist with prior authorizations and prescription refills as needed.
Medication Teaching:
Under the direction of the provider, provide teaching to the patient regarding various self-administered medications the office prescribes. Also provide necessary guidance on how to obtain specialty medications after authorization has been obtained.
General Office Administrative Duties:
Cover front desk when Office Staff is out, including but not limited to checking in patients, obtain current insurance information and payments. Would also need to check voicemail and fax machine.
Infusion Center:
Assisting in the onsite infusion center as needed. Qualifications & Experience Active New Hampshire LPN/RN license OR Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, or RMA) credential.
Experience:
Minimum of 1+ years of experience in an outpatient clinic or private practice setting preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software and general medical office technology.
Soft Skills:
Outstanding interpersonal skills, empathetic patient communication, and a reliable team-player mentality.

$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
