In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support across outpatient and inpatient settings, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and emergency medicine environments. Your skills in patient service, medical procedures, and administrative support will ensure a seamless experience for patients and healthcare providers alike. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and verifying insurance information Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature with precision Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort Support clinical staff with procedures like X-ray imaging, medication administration, and basic life support when needed Document patient interactions accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining confidentiality Perform ICD coding and recordkeeping to ensure accurate billing and medical documentation Manage medical supplies inventory and ensure the cleanliness of clinical areas in compliance with safety standards Experience Proven experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics is highly preferred Familiarity with EHR systems and medical terminology essential for efficient documentation Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medication administration to support diverse patient needs Previous hospital experience, including Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center settings, is advantageous Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures, inpatient care, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or OR (Operating Room) environments is a plus Strong understanding of medical-surgical practices, geriatrics, internal medicine, and emergency medicine protocols Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional patient care through professionalism, compassion, and technical excellence.
