Dermatology Medical Assistant

Full-time About the Role We are seeking a motivated and personable Medical Assistant to support dermatology providers during on-site visits at assisted living facilities. Our model brings dermatology care directly to residents — eliminating the need for them to travel to a doctor's office. Providers perform comprehensive skin exams, treat conditions on-site, and ensure residents receive the specialized care they deserve, right where they live. This is a part-time position with the potential to grow into a full-time role as the practice expands. Performance-based bonuses are available. This role is ideal for someone who is dynamic, adaptable, and excited about working in a unique healthcare setting. There may also be opportunities to work across other clinical settings, including behavioral health. Responsibilities Assist dermatology providers during patient encounters at assisted living facilities Prepare patients for skin exams and minor procedures Document visit notes and update patient records in the EHR Collect patient information including demographics, insurance, and consent forms Coordinate with facility staff to manage patient flow and scheduling Maintain supplies and ensure exam areas are properly set up Communicate with patients, families, and facility personnel in a professional and compassionate manner Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred Prior experience in dermatology is a plus, but not required — we will train the right candidate Comfortable working independently in a non-traditional clinical setting Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for working with elderly patients Reliable transportation (travel to facility locations required) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail EHR experience preferred What We Offer Flexible, part-time schedule with a clear path to full-time employment Performance-based bonus opportunities Hands-on dermatology training and clinical experience A supportive, mission-driven team environment Opportunity to expand into other clinical settings, including behavioral health

Pay:

$24.00 - $29.00 per hour
