Job Description

Experienced Medical Assistant needed for Podiatry Medical Practice in Livingston, NJ near Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. Part time postion needed.
Job Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year of medical office experience. Must be knowledgeable with EHR system (Mod. Med is preferred). Must have high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED). Must have reliable transportation. Candidate should be friendly, organized, professional, punctual, multi-tasker and have good communication skills. Podiatry or orthopedic experience strongly preferred.
Job Duties include:
Candidate must be proficient in obtaining medical history and medication reconciliation. Answering phones and making appointments Accompanying patients to exam room and assisting patients as needed. Setting up instruments, cleaning exam rooms and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control, maintaining and cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program, and restocking exam rooms. Assisting physician with procedures. Obtaining lab/X-ray reports to provide Doctor with complete patient history. Resume with references required for consideration.
Pay:
$16.50 - $18.00 per hour
