Job Description

This is for an immediate hire The Medical Art Center is a comprehensive medical facility that focuses on primary care, pain management, weight management services, and has a full service Medical Spa. Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to): Using computer applications Answering telephones Scheduling appointments Faxing/copying/scanning Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to): Taking medical histories Explaining treatment procedures to patients Preparing patients for examination Assisting the physician during exams Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens Performing basic laboratory tests Instructing patients about medication and special diets Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician Transmitting prescription refills as directed Taking electrocardiograms Other duties as delegated
Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care
  • Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and administering medications
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient information
  • Perform basic medical coding and billing tasks; charting day's progress notes
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient service
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred
  • Proficiency in taking accurate vital signs
  • Familiarity with medication administration procedures Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Office Hours:
Monday 9-5 Tuesday 11:30
  • 8 Wednesday 9-5 Thursday 9-5 Friday 9-3
  • Hours may vary by half hour-one hour at most.
