Inspira Health, the region's leading network of healthcare providers, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team in Millville, NJ. This nonexempt role is responsible for performing a variety of clinical and clerical duties in alignment with Inspira Health Network's mission, vision, and values. You will support patients, providers, and staff by delivering clinical care, assisting with procedures, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring efficient office workflow. This is a day shift role with a competitive hourly pay range of $19.92 - $26.28.

Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical and patient care duties including taking vital signs, collecting patient history, assisting with exams and procedures, performing screenings per provider guidelines, administering injections/vaccines, specimen collection, EKGs, and relaying instructions to patients and families
• Support providers and clinical staff by assisting with procedures, charting, prescription verification, minor surgical assistance, therapeutic modalities, and patient education including home care and use of assistive devices
• Manage clerical responsibilities such as scheduling, verifying insurance and demographics, preparing charts, obtaining medical records and test results, completing forms/requisitions, and handling referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications
• Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR), organize patient flow, and ensure charts are complete and compliant with office protocols
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment, sterilize instruments, maintain infection control standards, follow universal precautions, manage supplies, and ensure proper biohazard disposal and sterilizer maintenance
• Adhere to organizational and regulatory standards including HIPAA compliance, patient privacy (PHI), emergency response protocols, OSHA and CLIA guidelines, and participation in daily practice huddles and IMG workflows
• Assist with specialty procedures including laboratory testing, venipuncture, specimen handling (urine, throat, vaginal, stool, sputum), electrocardiography, emergency triage, and additional practice-specific duties as assigned
• Float to other IMG offices as needed based on staffing requirements while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and efficiency in all patient interactions

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant diploma and certification from an accredited program required
• Active Medical Assistant Certification or Registry required; AHA Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical practice preferred; phlebotomy, EKG, and experience with vaccine/medication administration strongly preferred
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems preferred
• Strong ability to learn and retain patient care procedures, prioritize tasks, and complete responsibilities in a timely and professional manner with compassion and empathy Why Inspira?
