Job Description

Responsible for rooming patients. Preforms 15 lead EKG, O2 sat, 4 extremity blood pressures, U/A, heart rate, height and weight. Take medical history and document medications.
Principal Accountabilities:
Takes vital signs, such as but not limited to pulse rate, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts Prepares rooms for examination of patients and asks patients questions regarding chief complaint. . Cleans room and equipment after each patient. Manages the medical inventory and orders medical supplies and materials. Operates electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests. Keys data into the computer system to maintain office and patient records. Performs other related duties as assigned
Required:
2 years of experience in Physicians practice, as a Medical Assistant or relevant area. High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program.
