Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Spanish-speaking Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Union City. The ideal candidate must be fluent in both Spanish and English and will assist physicians and nurses in delivering quality patient care while supporting daily clinical and administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Record patient history, vital signs, and other important health information. Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures. Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens (blood, urine, etc.). Maintain and update patient records accurately in the EMR system. Handle appointment scheduling, billing, and patient follow-ups as needed. Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use. Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict patient confidentiality. Support front-desk operations when necessary (calls, insurance verification, etc.).
Qualifications:
Fluent in Spanish and English required. High school diploma or GED required. Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred. Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting. Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills. Compassionate and professional attitude toward patients and staff.
