Must be organized and have at least 3 years of experience in procedures and handling prescription renewals. We are currently utilizing Athena as our EHR platform. Our medical assistants work as a team, assisting 13 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers treating our adult patient population. We offer competitive salary and excellent benefit package.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare exam rooms, procedure rooms, supplies and equipment Triage patients for providers, obtaining/updating histories, medication reconciliation, vitals, prepping and assisting in procedures Updating patient's electronic health record Proper handling of refill requests following office protocol Assisting in prior authorizations of medications Identify and respond to issues effectively with confidentiality Adhere to
HIPAA/OSHA
guidelines
Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work in a fast paced environment Ability to interact effectively in a large office setting dealing with varying patient population Must have excellent communication skills 3-5 years of experience in patient triage and assisting in procedures Strong work ethic We require someone who is dedicated to their position, can prioritize their work, placing the needs of patients/physicians first.
