We are excited to announce our full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) opening in Secaucus, NJ ! The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will assistant will collaborate with the medical practitioners and other nursing staff for day-to-day operations and client care. The Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for ensuring all clients receive medications in a timely fashion, proper follow up for care, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm Primary Duties and Responsibilities of a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA): Key Responsibilities:
Maintain compliance with applicable licensing, regulatory, and accreditation standards Help patients by providing information, services, and assistance Maintain medical supplies inventory and performing preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, collecting vitals and reporting patient history summary Assist nursing and medical staff with office procedures Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding protected health information Schedule appointments, verifying availability and preparing charts with consent forms Engages in coding, billing, and bookkeeping Documents all services delivered in the client electronic health record following service delivery Receives and inventories medications, including delivery to units, picking up medications from unit, and delivery of supplies to units Conducts audits of medication administration records and medication carts as scheduled Ensures all services are documented by the providers following the service Respond to all client concerns and feedback Apply evidence-based practices and nursing standards to deliver high-quality care Triage and assess client's needs, and develop appropriate care plans Maintain safe and clean working environment by designing and implementing procedures, rules, and regulations Perform nursing assessments for clients enrolled in care, including but not limited to vitals, medical history, etc. Administer medications including injections, and all forms of medications permitted with scope of practice Draw labs and collect other specimens (i.e. urine, saliva, etc.) Facilitate for providers and deliver services through telehealth, as needed Facilitates client admission, discharge, transfer, and orientation to the program in accordance with program protocols Assures controlled substances and syringes are secured and inventoried in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards Work closely with the medical providers to fulfill doctors' orders, medication orders, labs, and referrals Required Licensing or Certifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential, required. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate (CPR), required—must obtain within 30 days of hire and maintain (by American Heart Association or American Red Cross). A valid NJ Driver's License, required. Qualifications & Competencies:
One-year full-time experience with the management of addictions in a licensed substance use disorder treatment facility, preferred. Associates Degree in nursing, or other health related health profession; preferred. Knowledge about substance use disorder recovery, trauma informed care, and the value of other disciplines. In depth knowledge about mental health and substance use disorders. Strong time management and organization skills, ability to prioritize, required. Work Schedule :
