Job Description
Overview Our busy OBGYN practice is expanding and we are in need of Certified Medical Assistants to join our staff. This is a full time position located in Kendall Park, NJ but travel to off sites in Manalapan and Lakewood may be necessary at times. Experience in Athena EHR and Women's Health is helpful but we are willing to train someone who is dedicated to learning and fostering a cohesive work environment for all. Phlebotomy experience is a plus. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to monitor patient health status Assist with clinical procedures like medication administration, biopsies. Preparing examination rooms and handling medical supplies Conduct ICD coding for diagnoses to ensure proper billing and record accuracy Provide patient service by answering questions and offering emotional support during visits
