Certified Medical Assistant Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine

Come Grow With Us! Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and administrative support, with experience in various medical settings including dermatology, urgent care, and hospital medicine. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

Room patients, take and document vital signs, and obtain medical histories Assist with pulmonary function testing (PFT), spirometry, and oxygen saturation monitoring Educate patients on the proper use and care of CPAP/BiPAP equipment and inhalers Prepare patients for sleep study evaluations and follow-ups Administer breathing treatments or nebulizer therapy under physician direction Maintain clinical areas, including cleaning and stocking exam rooms

Administrative Duties:

Update and manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) Call patients with test results, instructions, or medication changes as directed by providers Coordinate sleep studies and track DME (Durable Medical Equipment) compliance Obtain prior authorizations for medications, imaging, and sleep equipment Track and follow up on referrals and diagnostic orders Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols Join our team of professionals committed to providing high-quality healthcare services while enhancing the patient experience.
