Medical Assistant Job Description Join a dynamic and expanding company as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in patient care and clinic operations. We are seeking dedicated individuals with a background in medical assisting, ready to contribute to a fast-paced environment within a growing organization. Responsibilities Room patients efficiently and effectively. Enter patient history into the EMR system accurately. Take vital signs including body temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height, and weight. Set up the injection table for the provider to administer injections. Prepare urine samples and conduct urinalysis for providers. Manage quick patient turnover, with each provider seeing 30-35 patients daily. Essential Skills 1-2+ years of experience in medical assisting, from any specialty. Proficiency with EMR systems; Athena experience is preferred. High School diploma or GED. Strong skills in patient care and medical assisting procedures. Ability to accurately take and record vital signs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Athena EMR system is beneficial but not required. Efficient in handling high patient volumes in a clinical setting. Work Environment Work in a Pain Management Clinic from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with the possibility of staying until 5:30 PM if the provider is backed up. The role does not require weekend work and offers potential for some overtime. Occasionally, you may need to travel to the Woodbury, NJ location. You will be part of a supportive team in a fast-paced clinic environment, providing care to returning patients. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Vineland, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
