Paid sick leave Employee discounts Job description: About Our Practice We are a new, patient-centered gynecology and women's wellness practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to women at every stage of life. Our team values collaboration, clinical excellence, and a warm, welcoming environment for both patients and staff. We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our growing team. Position Summary The Medical Assistant will support our gynecologists and clinical staff in delivering outstanding patient care. This role involves a blend of clinical and administrative duties in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The ideal candidate is organized, empathetic, and comfortable working with sensitive patient populations. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints Assist physicians and NPs with gynecological exams and procedures, including Pap smears, colposcopies, IUD insertions, and in-office biopsies Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sterilization and stocking of supplies Perform point-of-care testing, urinalysis, and pregnancy tests Administer injections and medications as directed by licensed providers Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection and preparation for laboratory processing Assist with patient education and discharge instructions Administrative Duties Schedule and confirm patient appointments; manage patient flow throughout the day Document clinical encounters accurately and timely in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system Process prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription refill requests Respond to patient phone inquiries and portal messages in a timely, professional manner Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and practice privacy policies Qualifications Required Minimum 1-3 years of clinical medical assistant experience, preferably in OB/GYN or women's health Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR); experience with Modernizing Medicine or similar platforms preferred Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when handling sensitive patient matters Preferred Experience in gynecology, women's health, or a related specialty Bilingual English/Spanish a plus BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience Paid time off and paid holidays Supportive, team-oriented work environment Consistent Monday-Friday schedule — no nights, no weekends
