Centennial is seeking a bilingual, Spanish speaking, patient service representative to be well versed in the below departments and is expected to function at front desk duties as well as clinic. There may be circumstances requiring cross-coverage in the surgery center, which is located on-site. Clinic Medical Assistant Proven work experience as a medical assistant. Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures. Room Patients Patient Vitals Medication Reconciliation EHR Documentation Electronic Prescriptions Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred) Medical Receptionist & Operator Must be able to multitask, have a friendly personality and professional phone skills. Must be able to interact with patients courteously and calmly. Manage large volumes of inbound calls in a timely manner. Provide assistance to patients and others contacting the clinic by telephone; may provide direct assistance. Navigate through patients' chart in the EHR to locate appropriate information. Identify patients' and other customers' needs, clarify information, research every issue and provide solutions and/or alternatives. Authorization & Referral Specialist (As needed) Coordinate and process referrals for patients to specialist providers. Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies to obtain necessary information for referrals. Ensure accuracy and completeness of referral documentation. Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations as required. Assist with coding and documentation related to referrals Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines in handling patient information. New Medical Patient Coordinator (As needed) Experience and knowledge of New Mexico health insurance preferred. Responsibilities include receiving referrals from multiple sources, including communication with attorneys and referring providers. Must have attention to detail and input all patient demographic and insurance information accurately.
