The Medical Assistant is an integral part of the Patient Care Team and acts as the liaison between the provider and the patient; to meet the medical needs of the patient.Required Behaviors:

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Completed a formal Medical Assistant Training Program -or- minimum of three (3) years working as a Medical Assistant
- BLS Certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in related clinical setting
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishes strong working relationships with providers; while facilitating excellent patient care
- Consistently exceeds customer service expectations and communicates effectively
- Strong data entry and computer abilities in addition to proficiency; when performing department specific clinical skills
- Must be able to perform accurately and quickly in a busy, stressful environment, setting priorities as to duties
- Understands and follows policies and procedures
- Builds productive interpersonal relationships in every encounter and demonstrates teamwork
- Actively participates in the department

Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:
- Accepts the risk of exposure to job-related illness and injury which may cause long-term health problems
- Must be able to see with corrective eyewear, hear clearly with assistance, and differentiate colors accurately (when required)
- Must be able to sit and walk frequently or for long periods of time
- Must be able to stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist routinely
- Constant use of the computer and keyboard
- Must be able to lift greater than 50 pounds and push 0-300 pounds (frequently)
Special Demands:
- Sets limits when dealing with angry, hostile, or sometimes verbally or physically abusive patients and families; in an attempt to ensure a safe, respectful environment that will support the delivery of care

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Six (6) months of nursing assistant experience or certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within two (2) weeks of hire
- Legible printing
- Clear speaking voice
- Typing/computer skills
- Mature, courteous deportment
- Driver's license free of violation for
SJRIR Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical terminology required prior to unit orientation or documentation of formal class within three (3) years
- Previous experience
- Multi-language ability

- Repetitive motions (i.e., wrist/hand movements, grasping, and finger dexterity as in typing, writing, faxing, filing papers, etc.)

- Computer experience
- One (1)- three (3) years Retail Experience
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Reacts quickly and is very responsive, cooperative and a team player
- Is able to meet the physical demands of the role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree
- Experience in the inventory system or something similar
- Up to date on current trends, styles, and generational preferences
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Checking in merchandise
- Pricing and stocking
- Enter items in the inventory system
- Gives suggestions in types of merchandise to consider/order, any necessary discounts, any reorders, etc.
- Keeps all storage areas clean and organized
- Works closely with the Gift Market Supervisor in planning merchandise layouts, promotions, holiday displays, etc. to keep the shop fresh and inviting
- Is fully trained in the supervisor's duties and can maintain duties in the absence of the supervisor
- Provides coverage for cashiers if necessary and understands full operation of cash register, balancing, etc.

- Other duties as assigned

- Can lift approximately 50 pounds
- Can deal with multiple things at the same time in a calm and professional manner
