- $20 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Direct patient care Outpatient clinic experience Outpatient Outpatient facility experience Managing patient records Full Job Description We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant-Front Desk to work 4-5 days a week in our privately owned Urgent Care Practice. We are open 7 days a week, Monday-Saturday from 9:00am
- 5:00pm and Sunday 10:00am-4:00pm.
Duties:
- Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's chart
- Review discharge instructions with patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant
- Ensure all related reports, labs and information is correctly added to the EMR for a complete patient chart
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
- Assist the front desk with telephone calls and checking in patients, verifying insurance, collecting co-pays/co-insurance/deductible
- Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, etc.)
- Assist providers in exam rooms with lacerations, injections, ear lavage, iv set up, and Orthopedic splinting
- Bi-weekly inventories
Pay:
$18.00- $20.
