Job Description

As a Medical Assistant at Rio Pecos, you will play a key role in supporting our allergist and medical staff while providing high-quality care to our patients. You will assist with routine medical procedures, patient assessments, and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow within the clinic.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and assist in routine exams, procedures, and treatments Take and record vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, etc.) Administer immunizations and injections under the supervision of a provider Assist in collecting lab samples and preparing specimens for testing Prepare exam rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked Document patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans in the EMR system Handle patient intake, including gathering necessary forms and insurance information Provide clear instructions to patients and families regarding treatment plans, follow-up appointments, and medications Manage scheduling of appointments and maintain patient records Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for pediatric patients Maintain a professional and positive relationship with patients and families Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and clinic policies Help manage the flow of patients in a busy, high-energy environment
Qualifications :
Previous experience in a healthcare setting required Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pediatric procedures, and common childhood illnesses Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain) Bilingual (Spanish or other language) a plus

From $15.00 per hour
