Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), where your expertise will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support in a family practice setting. This role requires fluency in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population, ensuring excellent patient care, safety, and satisfaction. Clinical Duties Prepare patients for examinations, including obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints. Assist during examinations and minor procedures. Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider. Perform basic laboratory tests Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and exam rooms Ensure proper documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Administrative Duties Schedule patient appointments and manage provider calendars Verify patient information and patients insurance Handle phone calls, including patient inquiries and follow ups Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and prescription refills Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Bilingual Responsibilities Ensure clear communication to improve patient understanding and compliance. Translate medical instructions forms, and patient education materials as needed.
