Job Description
Job Summary The Medical Records Clerk/Radiology Assistant is responsible for handling the distribution of imaging records, facilitating communication between patients and referring providers, and supporting radiologists with STAT report delivery. This role includes inter-site travel and requires excellent organizational and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Create and distribute CDs/DVDs or electronically transfer imaging records to patients and referring facilities Process incoming faxes, soft copies, and medical record requests from external offices Answer and direct phone calls, gather information, and assist patients and providers Communicate STAT radiology results to referring physicians on behalf of radiologists Travel between XRANM sites to perform assigned tasks as needed Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) Valid New Mexico driver's license, clean driving record, and personal vehicle with insurance (Required) Proficiency with Windows Operating System Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to operate multi-line phone systems Ability to maintain HIPAA privacy and security standards
