Job Description We are seeking an enthusiastic medical assistant to join our team and support the physician in delivering top-tier preventative care. The ideal candidate is friendly and outgoing, organized, compassionate, and committed to improving patient outcomes. Responsibilities
  • Delivering excellence above and beyond a typical medical practice. Greet patients, answer phones, collect insurance information, handle patient referrals and prior authorizations, obtain medical records, chart preparation in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure compliance with medical protocols and office policies, HIPPA
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EHR)
  • Discuss membership opportunities with potential patients. Educate patients on wellness, preventative care and lifestyle modifications
  • Assist provider with patient exams, procedures and preventative screenings obtain and record patient vitals, history, and other relevant health data administer vaccinations and perform basic lab tests as needed
  • phlebotomy experience
  • back office coverage at times Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
  • Previous experience in primary care or preventative medicine
  • Phlebotomy license preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • State of Nevada Office Assistant certification a plus
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR
  • Athena a plus), Word, Excel,
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
