PERFORMANCE PLANNING

Responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the clinic. You will support providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Interview patients and document basic medical history Arrange laboratory services or procedures Check with patients and type up patients charts Assist during medical examinations or procedures Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments May perform phlebotomy and administer injections May collect specimens, perform basic laboratory tests and chart results Schedules follow ups requested by provider

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required Must be CPR certified Knowledge of clinic operations through educational training or experience required. A minimum of one to three years of experience in a medical clinic setting. Proven working experience as a Medical Assistant. Working knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures. Has social perceptiveness and service oriented. Competent use of computer systems and EMR software. Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 Coding. Ability to work well in a team environment with also having the ability to work independently. Problem-solving skills. A calm manner and patience working with patients. Maintaining patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Ability to multitask. Superb organizational and planning skills. Self-starter, willing and open to improving efficiency of current clinic processes. Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations. Passionate about clinical excellence.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Environmental It is important to document the following environmental factors as applicable: Includes exposure to human body fluids, disease, infection, lab chemicals and hazard material Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment Physical Physical presence onsite is essential. Hearing and vision must be normal or corrected to normal range. Able to perform the duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds with frequent lifting and /or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. May require some travel between clinics. Psychological Includes receiving delegation, working on team, addressing conflict, communicating with all types of personalities being responsible for outcomes/results.
