We are the highest rated orthopedic group in the valley in on-line patient reviews. Medical Assistants help with all aspects of back-office/in-clinic job duties listed below. This is a great fit for those needing patient hours for pre-Medical School, pre-Physician Assistant, or other healthcare related fields.
Job duties:
Patient rooming Triaging patients needs Scribing within EMR Removing sutures and casts Applying/fitting for casts/DME Prepping rooms for patients Prepping for injections (administering injections optional) Submitting referral and pharmacy orders Obtaining prior authorizations Replying to patient voicemails, emails, and answering medical related patient calls Other MA duties as needed Ability to work as a team
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology or ability to quickly learn. Warm and friendly personality/willing to assist patients Strong communication skills with ability to diffuse unhappy patients Computer proficiency and typing Ability to complete above stated job duties, or willingness to quickly learn Team Culture•Ability to work well with others, communicate needs and respond quickly and appropriately to both patient and colleague questions and needs. A proactive individual who takes the initiative to solve problems. A team player who can follow instructions and set procedures.
