In this vital role, you will coordinate patient flow, manage administrative tasks, and support clinical staff to ensure seamless patient experiences. Your dedication will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient service and efficient clinic operations. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression while verifying appointment details and patient identities. Manage patient intake by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance details, and medical histories using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates to assist clinical staff in patient assessments. Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and follow up on patient inquiries to maintain smooth clinic workflows. Assist with administrative duties including answering phones, handling correspondence, and managing patient records with attention to confidentiality. Support clinical staff by preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, and assisting with basic procedures like X-ray preparation or medication administration when needed. Maintain a clean, organized front desk area while adhering to infection control protocols relevant to outpatient or inpatient settings such as ICU or Geriatrics units. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and basic life support principles. Experience working in dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units—including Level I Trauma Centers—and outpatient settings such as urgent care or internal medicine clinics. Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation of patient encounters and medical records management. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations including geriatrics or PICU patients. Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and assist with intake procedures in both outpatient and inpatient environments. Knowledge of hospital experience protocols including Level II trauma center procedures or OR experience is a plus. Capable of multitasking efficiently in fast-paced settings such as emergency medicine or medical-surgical units while maintaining attention to detail.
