This role requires a highly skilled professional who is confident in both clinical and patient-facing responsibilities. Our ideal candidate understands the elevated expectations of a surgical and aesthetic environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care with professionalism, precision, and discretion. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Clinical Support Greets patients and escorts them from the waiting room to exam rooms; prepares patients for consultation, post-op and follow-up Review and document health history forms Takes vital signs for post-op and follow-up patients as needed Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments Assists surgeon in preparing for examinations and minor procedures Assists in suture removal, drain removal, and other clinical activities as directed by the surgeon Draws or prepares injectable drugs Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization Disposes of contaminated items according to OSHA guidelines Replenishes supplies—stocks and cleans exam rooms Take photographs according to protocol Obtains and follows up on insurance authorizations Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments, medical supplies and equipment, and assembles, wraps and sterilizes trays of instruments. Follows proper Standard Precautions while in decontamination and sterilization areas. Patient Coordinator Assistance Provides pre-operative instructions Schedule post-operative appointments Confirm and assist with prescriptions Lab Work Performs phlebotomy as required for various laboratory tests ordered by the surgeon Obtains and handles laboratory specimens according to CLIA guidelines Ensures that laboratory samples are picked up by the reference laboratory Cleans and closes down laboratory equipment at the end of the day Monitors logs of specimens collected and sent to reference lab—ensures reports are returned from the reference lab in a timely manner Directs lab results to surgeon for review and treatment plan Required Qualifications Must speak Spanish Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant (plastic surgery, dermatology, or aesthetics strongly preferred) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred Strong knowledge of sterile technique and procedural assisting Experience with EMR systems and clinical documentation Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach Phlebotomy trained

Pay:

$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
