Medical Assistant/Receptionist Las Vegas Gastroenterology Las Vegas, NV Job Details Full-time $16.50 - $18.00 an hour 16 hours ago Benefits Free parking Paid training Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off On-the-job training Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Spanish Interpersonal skills Phone communication High school diploma or GED Full Job Description We are looking for an experienced full-time Medical Assistant/Receptionist to work 40 hours a week, 8:00am to 4:30pm for Las Vegas Gastroenterology. Candidate should be a quick learner, effective communicator, ability to multi-tasked and a team player who takes initiative and requires little to no supervision. Responsibilities:
Medical Assistant:
  • Answering and making phone calls
  • Scheduling patients' (new and follow-up) appointments
  • Recording patients' personal information and medical history
  • Responding to patients' questions and taking messages
  • Checking patients in and out
  • Transmitting prescription refills as directed
  • Providing discharge instructions thoroughly
Receptionist:
  • Serves patients by greeting them, answering routine questions, scheduling appointments
  • Checks in patients, confirm ID and insurance
  • Collects co-pays and remaining balances
  • Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone and takes detailed messages as needed
  • Assists patients in filling out insurance forms and other patient records
  • Answers patient's questions and maintain a calm and orderly environment in the reception area
  • Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information
Required Skills:
Good communication skills - on the phone and in person Enjoys working with the public and with fellow staff Excellent multi-tasking skills Ability to remain calm under pressure Reliable and committed
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or
GED Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience or training in this or similar position an asset Knowledge of eClinicalWorks an asset Speaks Spanish required
Pay:
$16.50 - $18.00 per hour
