Responsibilities:
Perform clinical duties such as taking patient's vital signs, medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations. Assist healthcare providers during patient exams and procedures, ensuring efficient and accurate support. Collect and process laboratory specimens, perform basic diagnostic tests, and document clinical information accurately. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of clinical areas and equipment, adhering to safety protocols. Manage patient flow, schedule appointments, and provide exceptional patient service and education. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, confidentiality policies, and documentation standards.
Required Skills:
Certified or registered Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA) or equivalent credential. Strong knowledge of clinical procedures, medical terminology, and patient care protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and team members. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting. Have Skills:
Experience working in a specialty clinic or diverse healthcare environment. Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and scheduling software. Additional certifications such as CPR and First Aid.
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency required; post-secondary healthcare training preferred. 1+ years of clinical Medical Assistant experience in a healthcare setting.
Other Requirements:
Full-time schedule, typically weekdays, with flexibility for occasional early or late shifts. Certification in CPR/First Aid required. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, perform clinical tasks, and lift light loads as needed. Compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining a respectful, patient-focused approach.
