About the Role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our cardiology team. This role combines clinical support with administrative responsibilities, ensuring smooth workflow and a high-quality patient experience. What You'll Do Obtain and accurately document patient vitals Perform EKGs and assist with other cardiac testing or procedures Support clinical workflow in an outpatient practice, including EMR documentation Maintain professional relationships with outside offices, referring providers, imaging centers, and labs Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff Assist with prior authorizations, procedure coordination, and patient preparation Multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced cardiology environment What We're Looking For 2-5 years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting Ability to obtain and document accurate patient vitals Experience performing EKGs Basic understanding of clinical workflow in an outpatient practice Comfortable using EMR systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professionalism, reliability, and accountability Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy specialty clinic Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in cardiology or a specialty clinic Familiarity with cardiac patient histories and medications Holter/event monitors Experience assisting with cardiac procedures and testing Knowledge of prior authorizations or procedure coordination Medical Assistant certification preferred (not required if experience is strong) What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits Collaborative, patient-focused work environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Working Conditions Primarily Reno-based in a fast-paced cardiology specialty clinic Requires flexibility and adaptability to meet patient and clinic needs Our Mission & Values We are committed to delivering exceptional cardiovascular care with professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
