Job Description
About the Role Pinnacle Medical Group Care Partners is an organization dedicated to improving health outcomes for Medicare Advantage members. We are looking for a Traveling Medical Assistant who enjoys hands-on patient care and working independently in the field—similar to an EMT-style role, but focused on preventative care and point-of-care testing in patients' homes and wellness centers. Travel will include Reno, Sparks, Carson City and the rural areas such as Yerington, Silver Springs, Dayton, Gardnerville, Fernley, etc. If you're reliable, compassionate, and thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, we'd love to meet you. - Travel to patient homes and wellness centers to provide in-home healthcare services
- Greet patients, verify patient identity, and ask required screening questions
- Perform and document: o Vital signs o Blood draws o Point-of-care testing o Bone Mineral Density (BMD) screenings o Diabetic Retinopathy screenings o Peripheral Neuropathy screenings o Peripheral Vascular Disease screenings
- Accurately enter and upload results into the EMR system
- Upload reports and documentation to patient charts
- Work collaboratively with Nurse Practitioners and fellow Medical Assistants
- Maintain professionalism, patient dignity, and HIPAA compliance at all times Qualifications
- Medical Assistant experience preferred (EMT, mobile healthcare, or phlebotomy experience a plus)
- Comfortable performing blood draws and point-of-care testing
- Previous EMR experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to work independently while traveling between locations
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
