Responsibilities Assist with patient intake processes, including gathering medical histories and verifying insurance information Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Support clinicians during examinations and procedures in outpatient clinics or hospital settings Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately to document patient information and clinical notes Prepare patients for diagnostic tests such as X-ray or laboratory procedures and ensure proper documentation Provide basic medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and coordinating follow-up care Monitor patient condition during inpatient stays or emergency situations, supporting physicians with medication administration and basic life support when necessary Qualifications Prior experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine is highly desirable Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration practices is desirable, but not required Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service and team collaboration is a necessity! Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail This role offers an engaging environment where your contributions directly impact patient outcomes.
