Medical Assistant

Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced Orthopaedic Spine Surgery and Interventional Pain Management Medical Office. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting patient care and ensuring smooth office operations

Responsibilities:

Onboard Patients, Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and relevant information. Provide exceptional support in a dynamic and high-volume environment. Specimen Collection, Assist Physicians within office procedures such as EMG's, injections, PRP, and wound care. Utilize GE PACS software to access patient diagnostic studies and imaging. Workflow via NextGen EHR/EMR. Assist in submission of prior authorizations for patient medications. Clean and sterilize instruments and exam rooms and dispose of contaminated supplies according to regulations. Assist in incoming patient telephone calls and taking detailed messages for clinicians. Chart labs and toxicology report results into patient charts after reviewed by clinician. Review incoming medical fax, email, and mail inquiries and sort to appropriate locations.

Qualifications:
