The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, medical administrative support, and a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients in primary care physician office. The Certified Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent service delivery. Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, offering hands-on support while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Provide clear instructions to patients as directed by the physician, helping them understand their care plan and follow-up steps. Ensure all necessary reports, lab results, and documentation are available and properly reviewed before the patient sees the provider. Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records using EHR systems (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks), ensuring documentation meets ICD coding and compliance standards. Administer medications under physician direction and document all treatments and interventions accurately. Perform specialized tasks when trained, such as assisting in the operating room, conducting X-rays, and supporting dermatology, geriatrics, or internal medicine services. Triage and manage messages between patients and providers, responding promptly and appropriately to clinical inquiries. Support the care team in quality improvement efforts, helping to track progress on performance goals and implement changes that enhance patient care. Attend regular team huddles, training sessions, and CAIPA meetings/webinars to stay up to date on Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) requirements and ensure workflows align with evolving standards. Participate in compliance, ethics, and information privacy/security training, ensuring full adherence to HIPAA and professional standards. Provide basic life support (BLS) and assist in emergencies when needed, prioritizing patient safety in all situations. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, helping to bridge the gap between clinical care and patient understanding. Ensure all clinical spaces are clean, safe, and organized, promoting a calm and efficient environment for patients and staff. Perform other duties as assigned by physicians or office management, always maintaining a flexible and team-oriented mindset. Qualifications Bilingual (Chinese and English) Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Previous experience in pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), medical-surgical units, or emergency medicine is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing exceptional patient care. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient interaction and service excellence. Join our team of healthcare professionals dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care!
