Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including rooming patients
- Prepare patients for office visit by taking vital signs, medical histories including reconciliation of medications, EKGs, Point of care testing (flu, strep, covid, INR)
- Perform routine laboratory tests as directed by the physician.
- Respond to patient inquiries, follow up on test results and coordinate patient referrals.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and office policies and HIPPA.
- Assist Physicians and APPs in giving patients the best care and experience overall
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Proficient taking Vital Signs required
- Minimum 6 Months experience as MA required
- Phlebotomy experience preferred (will train)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
