Job Description

Office hours are 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday (32 hours a week) Hours are subject to change, so the ideal candidate must be adaptable and flexible. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic medical environment. This position involves supporting healthcare professionals in a busy dermatology office. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting with patient assessments and providing administrative support to ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative:
Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Maintaining patient records, both electronic and paper-based. Handling phone calls, faxes, and other correspondence. Verifying insurance information and assisting with billing.
Clinical:
Preparing patients for exams and assisting physicians during procedures. Collecting and processing lab samples (blood, urine, etc.). Educating patients on medical conditions and treatment plans.
Other:
Maintaining exam rooms and ensuring they are properly stocked. Sterilizing medical instruments and equipment. Following infection control and safety procedures. Providing patient education and emotional support. Must be reliable. Experience Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures related to Emergency Medicine and Inpatient care Experience with electronic health record systems is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join our team of compassionate professionals dedicated to improving patient outcomes through exceptional care. Pay:
$23.11 - $26.34 per hour
