Medical Assistant New Hyde Park, NY 11040 $23.00 - $24.50 an hour - Part-time $23.00 - $24.50 an hour - Part-time Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Front Desk, where you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care across diverse medical settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in outpatient clinics to work with children and adults. As a Medical Assistant, you will be the frontline support for physicians ensuring smooth operations while providing compassionate service to patients. Your expertise will contribute to a positive patient experience and efficient clinical workflows in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Our office is located on the border of Long Island and Queens area and it is accessible by bus and LIRR. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and verifying insurance information Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with accuracy Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including specimen collection Operate EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems to document patient information accurately and efficiently Manage medical supplies inventory and ensure the cleanliness of the office Perform administrative duties like scheduling appointments, managing ICD coding for diagnoses, and updating patient records in compliance with privacy regulations Skills Extensive knowledge of medical terminology relevant to diverse specialties including pediatrics and adults medicine. Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in documentation practices for intake notes, vital signs, and ICD coding.
