The practice offers medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology as well as Mohs Micrographic Surgery for skin cancer. Excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to be part of a new and growing team - one where BOTH staff and patient care are the focus. We are looking for someone who is really looking for stability, professional development in the field of Dermatology, and long-term growth within our practice. The ideal candidate is someone who is responsible, respectful, compassionate, and possesses a positive attitude! This individual must provide exemplary customer service to all incoming patients as patient care and their health care experience is a top priority. This candidate must have excellent multi-tasking skills, a natural inclination to take initiative, pays attention to details, and is a team player . The person in this position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, speaks fluent English, and is a computer savvy individual. Candidate must have experience in dermatology to be considered. Candidate also has to have experience with scribing, phlebotomy, and EMR. Experience with Mohs surgery is also preferred. This person is also responsible for coordinating with the rest of the team to provide a timely turnaround for the patient and responding to patient questions and concerns with a sense of urgency and kindness, both on the telephone and in person. MEDICAL ASSISTANT CLINICAL DUTIES
Room and prepare patients for various types of medical visits and surgical procedures, giving necessary instruction and keeping schedules flowing smoothly Set up room in preparation for procedures Assist physician in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, & prescriptions Assist with Mohs surgery, fillers, Botox, Laser procedures, PRP & excisions Ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of examination rooms Managing order in the waiting room and around the office Restocking rooms and supplies Perform housekeeping duties necessary for the efficient management of the practice Perform central supply/autoclave/infection control procedures including: Clean all instruments and equipment used in surgery in a manner accepted by recognized standards of practice. Completing clinical administrative duties such as following up with and maintaining biopsy and clinical logs, and answering and managing patient clinical calls and emails Other duties as assigned such as (but not limited to) greeting and welcoming patients, assisting with registering new patients when needed, answering phone calls and emails, message intake for medical questions, prescription refills, and test results, and transferring calls and inquiries to providers and care coordinators accordingly
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION FOR MEDICAL ASSISTANT
A High School Degree or GED. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program, with Certified (CM) Medical Assistant. Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the field is required to be considered Excellent communication and bedside manner. Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills required. Computer proficiency required. Professional and positive demeanor attitude, ability to inspire the same in others. Flexible, adaptable, and able to work and thrive in a continuously evolving environment
