Medical Assistant/Front Desk Upper East Side Gynecology - 2.5 New York, NY Job Details Full-time $20 - $27 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Vital signs Medical scheduling Attention to detail Medical assisting Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant/Receptionist/Surgical Coordinator to join our Gynecology practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic medical environment. The Medical Assistant will support the practice by performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations. Duties Assist during patient examinations and procedures in the office setting. Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations and performing point of care urine testing as well as phlebotomy Maintain accurate patient records Manage patient flow to optimize clinic operations Ensure cleanliness and organization of the office, adhering to safety protocols Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and communication with other healthcare professionals Surgical scheduling Prior authorizations for radiology, medications, and surgical procedures Order medical supplies and medical devices for the office Communication with lab representatives Communication with patients regarding lab results and follow-up Answer telephones and schedule patient appointments Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program Experience in gynecology is a plus Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail Proficiency in using electronic health records, prior experience with Athena is a plus Experience with telephone and written communication with patients.
