Eye Care for the Adirondacks is the largest and most comprehensive eye care facility in the North Country of New York State. As an Optometric Assistant , you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care for our patients. You will assist our Optometrists as they provide primary vision care, such as administering eye exams and prescribing corrective lenses. Responsibilities Taking patient histories Testing visual acuity, depth perception, pressure, and pupil reflexes Assist in obtaining glasses' prescription Keeping the office organized and presentable, and making the exam room ready Must-have qualification High school diploma or GED equivalent No experience necessary, we will train the right individual! Preferred skills Strong communication skills Knowledge of medical terminology Ability to adapt Computer skills
