Job Description

Job Summary:
The Pathologist's Assistant will have responsibility for day-to-day operations of the Surgical Pathology Gross Room and associated activities at the Community Campus and Harrison Center. Will be responsible for all activities in the absence of the Pathologist's Assistant Supervisor. The Pathologist's Assistant will organize, plan, delegate, implement, and participate as needed in completing tasks in consultation with the Supervisor, Department Managers and Section Medical Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Health Sciences from a NAACLS (National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences) accredited Pathologist's Assistant training program and ASCP (or eligible) required. Must be able to meet any current NYS Department of Health and Education Department requirements for licensing for the specific discipline of Pathologists Assistant.
