Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Office/Medical Assistant to support a private medical practice specializing in Neurology. The ideal candidate will possess strong office and medical assistant skills to ensure efficient patient care and smooth office operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing vital support in patient intake, and medical documentation. Responsibilities Greet patients and assist with check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and updating patient records Prepare examination rooms Assist with ICD coding, medical terminology documentation, and ensuring accurate billing processes Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas in compliance with health regulations Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and ensuring a comfortable experience Qualifications Previous experience working in a medical office is preferred Strong ability to answer and manage multi-line phone calls professionally and efficiently Experience with patient check-in and check out, including scheduling, documentation, and basic front-desk workflow Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintain patient confidentiality Familiarity with medical terminology is required Experience working with EHR systems and ICD coding required Strong understanding of patient service principles with excellent communication skills Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with physician, including relaying patient information and clinical updates Ability to obtain and document vital signs is recommended but not required This position is ideal for a motivated individual seeking experience in a private neurology practice who is committed to providing excellent patient care and supporting daily office operations.
