13 Weeks Job Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a contract assignment in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will support physicians and clinical staff by performing both clinical and administrative duties in a fast-paced medical office environment. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience Medical Assistant certification from an approved school OR equivalent experience BLS Certification required High School Diploma or GED required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting Key Responsibilities Take vital signs, medical history, medication history, and allergy information Perform EKGs, lab testing, PFTs, and audiometry as ordered Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records Update insurance and patient demographic information Handle patient referrals and documentation accurately Answer phones and communicate professionally with patients and staff Maintain compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and infection control standards Assist physicians with patient care and discharge instructions Maintain supply inventory and perform daily equipment checks Required Skills Patient Care & Clinical Support EKG & Basic Diagnostic Testing Medical Documentation EMR/Data Entry Appointment Scheduling Medical Office Administration Infection Control & Safety Procedures Strong Communication & Organizational Skills For more details reach at
