Summary:

Rooms patients, performs limited point-of-care testing (POCT) (i.e. Urine, Finger Sticks, Pregnancy Tests, etc.), conducts visit planning, and other related duties. Completes necessary clerical responsibilities (i.e. scanning, registration, check-out, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

Formal Education Required:

a. Must have High School Diploma or equivalent 2.

Experience & Training Required:

a. Successful completion of clinical skills curriculum 3.

Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:

a. Knowledge of medical terminology b. Computer skills preferred c. Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team. d. Capability to organize, prioritize, and complete assigned work. e. Maintain HIPAA confidentiality. f. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity. g. Ability to travel between locations as needed within the medical group. h. Required ability to handle bodily fluids and possible exposure to communicable disease. i. Ability to obtain BLS within Summa Health j. Must pass yearly clinical skill competencies 4.
