Job Description
Busy specialty practice in Akron looking for an experienced MA (Medical Assistant). MA professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse care to those who need it. Competitive pay and benefits. Flexible and family oriented work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Rooming patients, taking vitals, obtaining and recording appropriate history/information
- Obtaining consents
- Submitting prior authorizations
- Triage patient phone calls and portal messages
- Keeping exam rooms cleaned and stocked
- Assist and support physicians as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an MA
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with medical office safety and sanitation standards and procedures
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and medical assisting best practices
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience in working with an EMR system
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
- Successful completion of Medical Assisting program
