Duties will include but are not limited to: Rooming patients, obtaining vitals and health histories, administering injections, POC and urinalysis testing, obtaining prior authorizations, working with an EMR, chart preparation, monitoring lab values and entering in computer, scanning and uploading documents into EMR, patient check in and check out, scheduling appointments, scheduling outpatient tests, creating lab orders, answering phones, medical billing, quality control, patient education, completing physician tasks or orders and inventory management. Candidate must be reliable, show a high level of professionalism, good communication and customer service skills, ability to problem solve and multi-task, good telephone technique, knowledge of medical terminology and medications, good computer and organizational skills, pays close attention to detail and has the ability to work as a team. Must have good attendance record. Nephrology experience is preferred but not required. We do not manage dialysis in our office and are willing to train for the specialty. Epic experience is also a plus. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. No nights or weekends! Office hours are 9-5.
